We’ve been able to make the most out of Microsoft 365 and the over 25 applications and 1400 capabilities it comes with, since its launch in 2011. Microsoft has been constantly innovating, adding apps, features, and capabilities such as the mentioned below:
Communication and collaboration
- Together Mode
- Custom backgrounds
- Planner and Forms in Microsoft Teams
- Real-time collaboration in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Desktop Apps.
Security & compliance
- Data loss prevention for email and documents
- Sensitivity labels and message encryption
- Content Search
- Core Litigation Hold.
AI & assistance
- Automatic video transcription & face detection in Stream
- Live captions & subtitles
- Resume Assistant, among other capabilities
Extended audio-conferencing capabilities
Even though cloud connectivity plays the main role in today’s workplace, we are still facing poor internet connection and on-the-go meetings. Taking this into consideration, in addition to the changes mentioned above, unlimited dial-in capabilities will be available for Microsoft Teams meetings.
Said capabilities are now available in MS 365 E5 and Office E5 and will be available for enterprise and business plans over the next few months.
Microsoft announced a series of updates for some Microsoft 365 license plans, for SMB and Enterprise. These are the first substantive updates to the price list for Office 365 and MS 365 since their respective launches in 2011 and 2017.
These price updates will be effective starting March 2022, and these are the plans that will be affected:
Note: Educational plans will not be affected at this time.
