Defederation gives you back full ownership and control.
No. Our primary goal is a seamless transition with zero data loss. Our meticulous planning and execution ensure that all your emails, calendars, contacts, and OneDrive/SharePoint files are securely preserved, whether you’re going through a direct defederation or a full migration.
The timeline varies depending on the complexity of your environment, the number of users, and the amount of data. A direct defederation can often be completed in as little as a few days, while a full migration may take up to two weeks. We provide a detailed timeline during our initial consultation.
Defederation only affects your Microsoft 365 services. Your other GoDaddy services, such as domain registration or website hosting, will remain active and unchanged. You will continue to manage those services directly through your GoDaddy account.
Once your GoDaddy Microsoft 365 services are fully defederated or migrated, you will stop paying GoDaddy for those licenses. You will then purchase your licenses directly from Microsoft or a Cloud Solutions Provider (CSP) like the 365 Cloud Store, giving you more control and often more competitive pricing. We can guide you through this process.
