Azure DNS Private Resolver: Now in Preview

For some time now, Microsoft has been offering two diverse kinds of DNS Zones: private and public. Firstly, Azure Private DNS provides a safe and reliable service for your virtual network, as well as customizing your domain name during deployment. 

On the other hand, on Azure Public DNS, you are hosted on Azure’s global network, which provides a fast and effective performance. With them, you can choose to host your DNS records depending on your organization’s needs. 

News on Azure DNS Private Resolver

The new preview version is a high performance, cloud native service. It provides an easy, limited maintenance and trustworthy DNS resource. In addition, this new DNS Private Resolver will be perfect to use for DevOps. 

Now it will enable you to query Zones from an on-premises environment without provisioning IaaS-based DNS solutions. Also, customers will be allowed to do conditional forwarding of domains back to on-premises, across multi-cloud providers.

Organizations located in the following regions will be able to start the preview version.
