Microsoft Dev Box virtual workstation now available to testers
Attention developers, a new Microsoft tool is here to optimize your time and make your processes significantly easier. Available for testers, Microsoft Dev Box virtual workstation is in public preview starting August 15. This new Azure service grants professionals with ready-to-go code, with preconfigured dev boxes, and central management. As a cloud-based workstation, you can expect maximum security and comprehensive access control.
Microsoft Dev Box: focus on code, forget infrastructure
Leveraging work for developers, Dev Box provides a large library of project and task specific dev boxes in the cloud. With this, developers can focus on coding entirely and even work on multiple projects with parallel features. In addition, these Windows-based dev boxes are adapted for desktop, web apps, IoT applications, mobile, and game development.
You may also assign dev boxes to fellow developers, with the assistance of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), granting roles and assigning specific tasks. Furthermore, you can also interoperate with different Microsoft tools, such as Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager, while deploying your projects via Azure global network.
