But don’t worry; we’ve got you covered!

Windows Server 2012 End of Life, what are my options?

If you’re not ready to make the leap to the next version, you can opt for Extended Security Updates (ESUs), which offer up to three years of support. These ESUs can be obtained for free in Azure or purchased for on-premises deployments. Microsoft has provided guidance for both cloud and on-premises solutions, and you can find more information here.

Migrate from Windows Server 2012 to Azure

Thinking about moving to Azure? Great news! By migrating your applications and databases to Azure, including options like Azure VMware Solution, Azure Stack HCI, and Virtual Machines, you can enjoy up to three years of Extended Security Updates (ESUs) after the end of support date. You can also make the most of Azure Hybrid Benefit for your Windows Server and SQL Server licenses.

Upgrade from Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2022

If staying on-premises is your preference, consider upgrading to Windows Server 2022 or getting Extended Security Updates (ESUs) for Windows Server 2012. ESUs provide essential security updates for up to three years, with the option to renew annually until October 13, 2026.
