New Commerce Experience: Automatic Transitions for Commercial and Public Sector

At the beginning of 2024, Microsoft is making significant changes to enhance your experience as a loyal customer of the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) services. We’re excited to share two crucial steps towards retiring the CSP legacy commerce platform and moving you to the next level of service with Microsoft’s New Commerce Experience (NCE). 

1. Public sector offers transition

Starting November 2023, we’re introducing public sector offers to the Microsoft’s New Commerce platform, including: 

  • Academic subscriptions 
  • Not-for-profit [NFP]/charity subscriptions 

Both new and renewing customers, like you, will have access to these offers. With the new commerce platform, you can enjoy enhanced features and exclusive advantages tailored for your needs. 

2. Automatic transitions of renewing customers

Starting January 2024, we’ll automatically transition all our renewing commercial and public sector customers to the new commerce platform. Microsoft’s seamless transition process ensures a hassle-free move, consolidating all your subscriptions under the new system. 

All legacy subscriptions will transition to NCE under annual commitment terms but will maintain the existing billing cycle and seat counts. 

Post-transition, you will have a seven-day window to make any necessary changes to your subscription term and/or quantity or cancel it, if needed. Flexibility is essential, and we want you to be in control of your subscription.

If you prefer monthly terms, consider transitioning before the 2024 renewal date of your legacy subscriptions. This way, we can ensure your terms align with your preferences.
